Single Motif Telia Rumal Shirt
A shirt rooted in one of India’s most distinctive handloom traditions.
Crafted from Telia Rumal Double Ikat cotton, the fabric is created through an intricate resist-dyeing process in which both the warp and weft yarns are patterned before they meet on the loom. The tradition also involves an oil-treatment process that gives Telia Rumal its name and distinctive character. The result is a textile recognised for its striking geometry, softly feathered Ikat edges and unmistakably handcrafted finish. Telia Rumal is also a GI-registered textile of Telangana, with its GI registration associated with the Puttapaka handloom cluster.
Reimagined by House of Roh as contemporary menswear, the lightweight cotton makes the shirt breathable and comfortable while allowing the richness of the weave to take centre stage.

Care
Gentle hand wash separately in cold water. Use a mild detergent and avoid soaking for long periods. Do not bleach, scrub, twist or wring. Dry naturally in the shade to help preserve the colour and weave. Iron on low to medium heat, preferably on the reverse. Dry cleaning may also be used when you want to preserve the garment’s finish for longer.
How to Style It
Let the weave be the statement. Pair your Telia Rumal shirt with solid black, ivory, beige or navy trousers and minimal footwear. For an easy daytime look, wear it untucked with relaxed trousers or tailored shorts and loafers. For dinner or an occasion, pair it with well-cut trousers, leather shoes and a simple watch. If layering, choose an unstructured jacket in a solid neutral shade rather than introducing another pattern.
House of Roh styling principle: Keep everything around the shirt quiet. Let the handloom do the talking.
